FishNET is run by the Angling Trust and fully funded through Environment Agency rod licence sales. It’s a completely free online training tool aimed at helping anglers, clubs, and fisheries understand more about fisheries enforcement and how to respond to issues that harm our waters and fish.
The online training programme has been running for a few months now, and has had some brilliant feedback. Many people have said how useful it’s been, with a few even admitting the modules were more challenging than expected!
The aim of FishNET is simple:
To educate anyone who spends time by the water with the correct understanding, response and procedures when it comes to issues such as:
✔️ Poaching
✔️ Fish theft
✔️ Anti-social behaviour
✔️ Enforcement partnerships
✔️ How rod licence income supports this work
If you’re interested in learning how you can help protect your waters and support the wider angling community, you can start the course today. It’s completely free!
