Redbank Lodge

You can only fish on three sides of the lodge due to trees and steep banking.  There are around 8 pegs on the left side of the lodge and 3 pegs at the start of the lodge.  There are around 6 pegs on the right hand side of the lodge on decking.

 

The main species of fish in this lodge are:- Crucian Carp, Roach, Perch, Tench, Pike and a small number of Carp.  The best baits for this water are:- Maggots, Castors, Pinkies,Worms and Sweetcorn. The best methods tend to be fishing the pole, ledger or waggler. This water can be fished on a day ticket.

Redbank Lodge 2

You can fish on three sides of this lodge.  There are no defined fishing pegs but there are around 20 -30 fishable locations.  The main species of fish in this lodge are Crucian Carp, Roach, Perch and Pike.

 

The best baits for this water are Maggots, Castors, Pinkies, Worms and Sweetcorn.  The best methods tend to be fishing the pole, ledger or waggler.  This water can be fished on a day ticket.

Directions

From Bolton:

  1. Follow the A58 Bury Road towards Bury.

  2. At the set of traffic lights opposite the Ainsworth Arms pub, turn right onto Ainsworth Road, which leads to Radcliffe.

  3. Follow this road until you see the Victoria pub on your right.

  4. Turn right before the pub onto Lowe Street.

  5. See the 3 different routes below for further directions, depending on where you want to park.

From Bury:

  1. Follow the A58 Bolton Road towards Bolton.

  2. At the set of traffic lights opposite the Ainsworth Arms pub, turn left onto Ainsworth Road, which leads to Radcliffe.

  3. Follow this road until you see the Victoria pub on your right.

  4. Turn right before the pub onto Lowe Street.

  5. See the 3 different routes below for further directions, depending on where you want to park.

From Radcliffe:

  1. Take the A665 through Radcliffe going towards Bolton and Little Lever.

  2. This road is called Water Street, changing to Bolton Road.

  3. Keep on this road until you get to a set of traffic lights and turn right onto Ainsworth Road.

  4. Follow this road until you see the Victoria pub on your left.

  5. Turn left after the pub onto Lowe Street.

  6. You can now take 3 alternative routes depending on where you want to park.

Alternative Routes for Parking

Route 1:

  1. Follow Lowe Street until you reach a mini roundabout at the end of the road.

  2. Turn left, then take the first right into Coronation Road.

  3. Take the first right into Colshaw Close South, where you can park — but please ensure you do not block any drives.

  4. Follow the path at the end of the close, keeping the fence on your left.

  5. At the end, you will see a lodge facing you (Lodge 2) and another one on your left (Lodge 1).

Route 2:

  1. Follow Lowe Street until you reach a mini roundabout at the end of the road.

  2. Turn right into Pilkington Road and then take the second left into Stainton Road.

  3. Take the first left into Stainton Close, where you can park — again, please do not block any drives.

  4. Follow the path at the end of the close, between fences on both sides.

  5. You will see the first lodge (Lodge 2) on your left.

  6. Continue along the path and you will see the other lodge (Lodge 1) facing you.

Route 3:

  1. Follow Lowe Street until you reach a mini roundabout at the end of the road.

  2. Turn right into Pilkington Road, then left at the end of the road into Turks Road.

  3. Take the second left into Abbey Close, which leads to Kirkstall Gardens, where you can park — but do not block any drives.

  4. Follow the road between the houses.

  5. You will see the first lodge (Lodge 2) on your left.

  6. Continue following the path and you will see the other lodge (Lodge 1) facing you.
